About
We exist so that no other family has to learn this the way Debbie's family did.
The Debbie Gaunt Foundation is a national charity working at the intersection of perimenopause, women's mental health and family wellbeing. We translate the best research available into education, resources and clinician pathways — and we keep Debbie's name in the conversation because behind every number there is a name.
Our anchor
A project of Iris Foundation.
We operate as a project of Iris Foundation, a Central Coast-based public benevolent institution with more than twenty years of experience in preventative mental health. That partnership is deliberate.
It means donations to DGF are tax-deductible and receipted under Iris Foundation's ABN and DGR framework. It means our governance, financial reporting and safeguarding sit inside an organisation that has been doing this carefully for two decades. And it means we can spend our energy on impact, not on building infrastructure that already exists.
What guides us.
Safety
Trauma-informed in every touchpoint. Crisis pathways always visible.
Evidence
Grounded in research from HER Centre Australia and Monash University.
Dignity
Debbie's story, every story, told with care and consent.
National reach
Built for women across Australia, not just one community.
Research partners
Built on evidence.
We work alongside HER Centre Australia and Monash University to ensure that the information we publish and the training we support is grounded in the best available science — and that it actually reaches the clinicians, women and families who need it.
