About
We exist so that no other family loses a loved one during perimenopause.
Debbie Gaunt Foundation is a not-for-profit dedicated to shining a light on the often-overlooked mental health journey of women in midlife, while providing trusted information, and pathways to support. The Foundation is breaking the silence around perimenopause, menopause, and women's mental health, because these conversations matter. Every midlife woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Mental health should never be a private burden; it's a shared responsibility. No woman should navigate this alone.

Our anchor
A project of Iris Foundation.
We operate as a project of Iris Foundation, a not-for-profit dedicated to preventing suicide by specialising in resilience-based initiatives and prioritising efforts on early prevention. Iris Foundation believes that no-one should feel their struggles are insurmountable, or their life is without value. Every life is precious.
This partnership is deliberate.
It means donations to DGF are tax-deductible and receipted under Iris Foundation's ABN and DGR framework. It means our governance, financial reporting and safeguarding sit inside an organisation that has been doing this carefully for two decades. And it means we can spend our energy on impact, not on building infrastructure that already exists.

Our values
What guides us.
Proactive Education
Knowledge is power. We aim to go beyond awareness and empower women and the community with proactive solutions.
Vulnerability
There is strength in speaking up and reaching out for support when needed. When we show vulnerability, we make space for others to do the same.
Authenticity
We believe in building connections and community through real conversations and interactions.
Access & Inclusivity
Women's mental health is everyone's business and no woman should be left behind.

Research partners
Built on evidence.
We work alongside HER Centre Australia and Monash University to ensure that the information we publish and the training we support is grounded in the best available science — and that it actually reaches the clinicians, women and families who need it.
